RF and Microwave Power Systems

Microwave Disinfection Systems for North-East States, A DIT funded project on Development and Deployment of Microwave Disinfection Systems for North-East States is successfully completed and 7 Units are developed to be deployed in North East.

1. SAMEER has developed a40 kW capacity RF dryer which can operate in industrial environment. Currently this is being used for yarn drying.
2. RF dryer units for tea processing: Under the sponsorship of Department of Information Technology (DIT), RF dryer units for the processing of tea was developed. It has been installed at Tocklai Tea Research Centre, Jorhat, Assam for black tea drying. Another unit for the processing of Green tea will be installed at Agartala, Tripura.
3. RF Dryer for the processing of the spices: SAMEER has developed 25 kW RF dryer and installed it at Indian Cardamom Research Centre, spice park at Myladumpara, in the Idukki District Kerala.

Two C-Band and S-Band IRIG Coded High Power Transmitters have been designed and developed for Tracking Radar for ISRO with L&T as development and manufacturing partner. The transmitters have been integrated with the rest of radar subsystems and handed over to ISRO for use during the satellite launch programmes at SDSC, Sriharikota.
